Salad Creations in Newport News

Literally had to fight my 4 year old for my salad back!!!! The tomato basil taste so fresh and yummy... if you have yet to go to salad creations please make your way!!!!The owner is so sweet and down to earth!

Brought a sandwich that was pricey.

It's ok. It's exactly how it sounds: you make your own salad. But there weren't as many topping choices as I expected and the premade ideas were meh. Not really a good place to take the kids (unless they love salad). It would be best to go there for your lunch break, not dinner with the family.

To the owner of Salad Creations...Will you be renewing your lease? We loved your salads and miss you!!

Food was good The employees are slow as a turtle.

My experience was PHENOMENAL!!! I was greeted by the owner who was extremely personable and attentive to detail and my satisfaction as a customer. I ordered a premium Derby Chicken Cobb salad and a chicken wild rice soup which was absolutely DELICIOUS!! The environment was extremely clean, airy and pleasant. What a wonderful establishment! Kudos to Salad Creations!!!

I’ve been here twice before and my experience was very good. However today i walked in and was told they were closed. Google says they open at 10 but the young lady said 10:30. I’m confused as to why the door was open but they’re closed?**Edit! I just came back to order two salads when they opened and the young lady was very rude. I wasn’t greeted and did not feel welcomed. Also my sauce was put on the side, normally it’s mixed in.

I haven't been here walk past it, though looks pretty nice, maybe one day I will try it, but I still haven't been here and once again, it keeps showing up on my timeline!

Great salad! Everything was fresh and the service was quick and friendly. Just wish they could charge a little less, but the salads really are great.

Memorial Day Weekend: Went to visit family and ran across a (#0p+ establishment, looked at the menu and all I could think about was Salad Creations. ESPECIALLY their Buffalo Chicken Caesar Salad. Can't wait to get back to Hampton Roads😍🤤!

Good fresh food. Friendly staff helped us navigate the menu for our first visit.

Place was dark and empty, door locked on a Friday night. Folks in front of us were also trying to get in.

I was able to try them and most of all replace them for ingredients I liked. Great price for a large salad. Thank you for your kindness and patience. I will return and promote.

I ordered my Apple Pecan wrap over the phone, and paid in store. The staff was very nice and friendly, the only thing I did not like, was that they put entirely way too much raspberry vinaigrette in the wrap. I did not realize it until I got back to work; when I took the wrap out of my bag, the dressing was seeping through the paper, when I unwrapped the wrap from the paper, all I could see was the dressing dripping out of the wrap and nothing but red dressing; they literally drenched the wrap in dressing. I ate the wrap, but could not really enjoy it because it had soo much dressing to the point it was all I could taste; I wasn't able to taste the other ingredients, I ended up throwing the rest of the wrap away, because I could no longer take that overbearing taste. This was only my second time eating here, but hopefully the next time, I will remember to tell them to put very little dressing on it; it just sucks that I was not able to fully enjoy my wrap.

Very nice staff on both occasions I visited here. Salad very good. Fresh ingredients. Large selection of "throw ins". Spinach, corn, black beans,cucumbers, onions,cranberries, sunflower seeds, almonds, carrots, tomatoes, turkey, avocado .....deliciousness in a bowl! A bit expensive for a turkey salad $13.00, but tasty.

I ordered a veggie sandwich and vegan chili yesterday. The food was delicious and the owner was very nice and helpful, he went out of his way to find me a vegan salad dressing for my sandwich. The restaurant and bathroom was very clean.

Well-lit but empty when I stopped in, I found the staff very helpful, but the salad completely overdressed, so because they use iceberg lettuce, it was a soggy mess in a matter of minutes. A nice idea that seems to still need some tweaking to really hit its sweet spot.

The food is great. The staff can use some work on service and friendly communication skills. "It says smile on your shirt, you should try it."

Good portion for the price, fresh taste, ask for lite dressing unless you want your greens dripping wet.

I had a Jr. Sophie's Chicken Salad, a Chicken Italiano paninni and iced tea. I as was having the sandwich, I asked for the salad without the chicken, which they delivered, but I think they should have mentioned that I was paying for the chicken whether I got it or not. The salad was delicious, the tea was properly brewed - not over extracted and bitter, but the sandwich was unnoteworthy, a particularly bland chicken salad that was pressed, then microwaved. It was okay, but in my opinion not worth the $18.50 they charged

The staff seemed "out to lunch" with assistance. We ordered a salad bowl and the staff were slow to help us. The preferred items we asked for were not available and the staff did not apologize that they were out of stock.. more of tough so sorry for your bad luck attitude...the bathroom was dirty and out of toilet paper.. would not go back... it is a shame because it use to be good... seems like it is not staffed properly

They put so much dressing in the salad that the lettuce was almost soaked! Definitely not the best for weight watchers!

A bot pricey for what you get. Yes, you can customize your salad just about any way you could want, and there are endless add-ons, but the amount isn't a lot. My family ordered three salads and it cost us over $40, and we were all hungry less than an hour later.
